Hello, and welcome from your hosts Insect Heroes, and the rest of the Lost Map crew, to the end of everything. This could be the last edition of Clumps you’ll ever read, so enjoy it. Scientists have confirmed that the concept of the term ‘next month’ is now obsolete, so we’ll be packing as much fun as we can into the remainder of this one.
After years searching the globe and our own tiny minds in search of the meaning of that word ‘fun,’ we’ve finally concluded that it involves lots of wondrous music, inflatable dinosaurs, disco lights, paper flowers, palm trees, goat curry and an occasional rum and ginger beer when feeling uptight or weary. These are the things, therefore, that we will be presenting to you on the 31st of October, in the hours immediately preceding that void which was once called ‘next month.’
In celebration of our own impending extinction, we’ll be spending the evening dressed as our favourite extinct and perilously endangered species, and hope you’ll join us. However, given the circumstances, we would have to admit that even ‘human’ would be a fitting outfit for this purpose, especially if you are not usually a human.
It’s been six months now we’ve been at The Rum Shack waiting for this Apocalypso to happen, and we have truly come to love it, so it will be a sad day when it disappears into the void with the rest of us. If you have never been there before, do take this last chance, because some of their amazing Caribbean food would make a pretty good final meal, and their rum will definitely take the edge off the sadness of our impending doom.
We haven’t even mentioned that wondrous music yet, so you’ll just have to look at the poster to find out what it is, but before all that, we do have these lovely pages full of frightening and apocalyptic fun, all contributed by the Lost Map community. As yet we don’t know ourselves what they’re going to contain exactly, so it’s an adventure we’ll have to all go through together. Let’s hope there’ll be a happy ending. Oh, hang on, there won’t. Never mind. LOL.
