Our featured interview this month is with VICTORIA HUME, who talks us through the making of her brand new album Radical Abundance - a collection of songs about the state of capitalism, the destruction it’s caused, the inevitabilities it’s created … and looking towards what might emerge next.  It’s inspired by the book Less is More: How Degrowth Will Save the World by Jason Hickel and it’s based around interviews Victoria conducted with Hickel as well as other activists and agitators. Radical Abundance is out on 19th January on limited edition CD with printed zine.

There’s also a special edition of FIRST GIG WORST GIG, featuring Emma Daman Thomas from the band ISLET - who reports on her tween BritPop fantasies, and reveals the perils of early-00’s fashion for drummers. ISLET will be performing at our HUMBUG! all-dayer at SUMMERHALL in EDINBURGH on Saturday 16th December.

Join hosts PICTISH TRAIL and LAURA for another hour of Lost Map goodness, including (not due to popular demand, or indeed any sort of demand) a reboot of long-lost regular feature, First Gig Worst Gig.

It’s November, the nights are fair drawing in, and LAURA reckons it's the start of winter already. PICTISH TRAIL is still in a summery mood, and tries to pay Laura a compliment on her hair - but ends up talking about his own greasy locks for possibly too many minutes. In possibly their most “method” episode yet, established actors PICTISH TRAIL and LAURA accurately portray the overwhelming sense of hangover from last month’s 10th ANNIVERSARY shows. They should win a Podcast Oscar, if such a thing exists.

Somehow PICTISH TRAIL and LAURA have survived Lost Map’s busiest month, celebrating the label’s official 10th anniversary.
