The Front Door EP is a collection of songs I wrote during the long quiet months of lockdown in 2020. Having just finished mixing my album ‘Take Care’, I was feeling burnt out by upbeat music and wanted to experiment with writing something much slower. I was getting re-inspired by traditional songwriting, allowing good chords and lyrics to take precedence over complex production and arrangements. Recently I’d turned 25 and left a significant relationship behind; I was feeling a major shift in my life, and now had a seemingly endless amount of time to ruminate about it. I wrote and demo’d a lot of songs with this focus in mind, eventually narrowing the collection down to these six tracks which I feel best capture the spirit of the time. Lukas Clasen, Sulka
