Hullo and welcome to LOST MAP
We're glad you found us. (Admittedly it wasn't that difficult, but well done all the same).
What is Lost Map? It's a record label and collective based on Eigg, an island which swims in the inner Hebrides of Scotland. We like the following smells: new vinyl, old postcards, scratchy guitars, whispered secrets, squelchy rhythms, corduroy flannels, warm salads, frozen memories, and pickled onion flavoured Monster Munch.
Lost Map is the new home for the music of eagleowl, Randolph's Leap, Rozi Plain, Seamus Fogarty, Monoganon, Kid Canaveral and myself, The Pictish Trail. If you don't know what we sound like, you should sign up to our mailing list to receive a free 7-track sampler, with a song from each act (some unreleased!). We sound amazing, and there'll be other musical mongers to come.
The website isn't completely finished yet - but we're getting there. At the moment you'll find some recovered loot in the shop, some gig listings, and a bevy of hawwt photographs. So, aye - have a goosey, and mibbe let us know your thoughts on our Facebook / Twitter. In time we'll have a forum in place, a blog of sorts, some more records / merch, and a bunch of secrety things.
First bit o' gig news for ya … we're chuffed to be co-hosting Kid Canaveral's annual festival party, Xmas Baubles. This will be the Kid's fourth event - an all-day bash of live music and yuletide cheer, which has sold out every year since its inception. This year we're taking over the incredible Portobello Town Hall, near Edinburgh, on Saturday 14th December. We're not going to reveal the line-up for a while, but it's easily the best yet. Early-bird tickets go on sale TOMORROW, at just £15, exclusively from the Lost Map website. These specially priced tickets are limited in number, and they will go up in price soon - so dinna muck aboot!
Right, get lost ...
