KID CANAVERAL ♥ YOU!
Suitably rested over the festive season, Lost Map are back with a bang in 2014, and smitten to announce Kid Canaveral's Lumber* Party. Taking place at Stereo, Glasgow on February 14 - yes, as the loved-up/lonely among you (delete as appropriate) have no doubt noted, that's Valentine's Day - this special combined gig and clubnight will promote the release on neon pink heart-shaped 7" vinyl of the single 'Who Would Want To Be Loved?' from the Canaverals' über-fantastich second album Now That You Are A Dancer.
A copy of the WWWTBL 7" plus download code - and how's this for a bargain - is included in the price of the ticket. Were that not a dealy-o enough, you'll also get live sets from your hosts, plus sage of the grumpier side of romance Malcolm Middleton and Lost Map's own shambly folkie indie-pop dreamboats Randolph's Leap, before guest DJs (TBA) lead the dancin' 'til late.

Be you single ("I hate being single on Valentine’s Day") or coupled-up ("Where special can I take my beloved?"), all your February 14 problems are solved at a swoop in the city where relics of Saint Valentine himself are said to have been found, with a unique night of winching the night away to a superior soundtrack. Yes, yes - we love you too.
*For those of you not from the Glasgow area and thus immune to the pun here, the Canaverals elucidate: "A lumber is a person one meets at a dance or party and with whom one establishes an amorous relationship (e.g. 'you’ll have no chance of getting a lumber if you act like a sexist moron')."
