Lost Map Records are excited to be able to reveal details of a special Hallowe'en party, featuring an incredible line-up of blood-pumping live bands and DJs. Organised in co-operation with Irregular Owl Movements (eagleowl's sporadic disco-party fun bus), this combined gruesome gig and cadaverous club-night will take place at The Mash House, Edinburgh on the long, dark night of Friday, October 31, and will be headlined by "cult group par excellence" (The Quietus) the Archie Bronson Outfit. We've been huge fans of the Archie Bronson Outfit for the full now 10-year duration of their career to date, at the vanguard of bloody-nosed howlin' scuzz-rock, from their early singles up to this year's brand new album Wild Crush, their fourth for Domino Records. We're delighted to have finally been able to book them for one of our events. They'll be joined on the bill for the gig part of the night - which runs from 7pm-10pm - by our fresh-meat indie-pop threesome Tuff Love, and a rarest of rare appearances from Our Ladies of Sorrow, AKA eagleowl’s kraut-goth doppelgängers, who rise from the dead on Halloween only (this will be their first appearance in four years).
In the second half of the evening, from 10pm-3am, across two different rooms at the top of The Mash House, there'll be a gory smorgasbord of late-night live performances from Insect Heroes, CARBS, River Of Slime and Operator and DJ sets from Lost Map, Papi Falso and Irregular Owl Movements (+ more TBA). Tickets cost £12 each for the full night, or just £5 for the late-night club. A four-ticket Freaky Family Pass costs just £40.
The theme for the evening is Sinister Siblings & Freaky Families - all attendees are invited to arrive in fancy-dress as appropriate ... and there'll be a special prize for the best one. Save for the Archie Bronson Outfit, who're coming in an Archie Bronson Outfit, obviously.
