Meet the F A M I L Y : Monoganon's new album out now

Lost Map Records are proud to announce the release of our first album of new material - F A M I L Y  by Monoganon  (LAT 00°1 28’10.2013”).

A mesmeric, psych-grunge adventure, that sways and staggers both lyrically and melodically around your brain, F A M I L Y  is an incredible album - where atmospheric guitar lines and distortion bleed into one another, and arpeggiated synthesisers drown in a sea of reverb-soaked wails.   There’s a few beautiful ballady ones, an’ aw.  Aye.

You can find out for yourself, by heading over to GoldFlakePaint’s website.  They are hosting an exclusive stream of the album for one week only: http://www.goldflakepaint.co.uk/album-stream-monoganon-family/

Here’s what other folk have had to say about the album  ...

“As an introduction to Lost Map as a home for singular and exciting talent, it's an unqualified success." ✮✮✮✮ ALBUM OF THE WEEK: Scotland On Sunday

"A disorientating mesh of angular guitar, off-kilter beats and mood piece confessionals … that slip under the skin and stay there" ✮✮✮✮ The Skinny

"This introspective, complex collection of psych-folk psalms and alt-pop mantras dedicated to love, and loss and awakening, seeks answers rather than offering them, and it’s all the more poignant, and precious, for it” ✮✮✮✮ The List

"Music of this ilk often gets labelled as ‘kaleidoscopic’ and the constantly shifting backdrop here makes it easy to see why; colours radiate and then fall away in the blink of an eye the scenery is almost always changing occasionally falling wonderfully in to place before the whole thing flips again … brash, bold but ultimately beautiful”  GoldFlakePaint

"A poised and confident suite of songs from a band with one foot in Fence’s nu-folk past and another in whatever brave future they and Lost Map dare to dream up” The Sunday Herald

“ The liberating catharsis of the likes of Car Coming Home, simultaneously a snapshot and an impressionistic soundscape, makes for immersive listening” ✮✮✮✮  The Scotsman
