LOST MAP's HALLOWE'EN PARTY IS HAPPENING THIS FRIDAY!!!
On Friday October 31st, we'll all be getting ghoulish at the Lost Map Halloween Special, taking place at The Mash House in Edinburgh [TICKETS].
Our Bart, of eagleowl infamy, has done gone a putrid podcast mix to get you in the All Hallows Eve mood, titled Music to be Murdered by for our new CLUMPS section. In the first of what will be many such MixMap podcasts by our artists, this one's full of ghoulish grooves, bloody beats, crude horror movie soundtrack amputations and such, and you can listen to it while reading a short blog about the formation of Our Ladies of Sorrow - AKA eagleowl’s kraut-goth doppelgängers, who rise from the dead on Halloween only. You can also check out a genius trailer for the Halloween event which Bart has created by clicking the picture at the top!.
The Lost Map Halloween Special, which we've organised in cooperation with eagleowl's sporadic events planning alter-ego Irregular Owl Movements, is a combined gruesome gig and cadaverous clubnight which The List magazine has tipped as one of "the best gigs to celebrate Halloween 2014", no less. It'll be headlined by "cult group par excellence" (The Quietus) the Archie Bronson Outfit, with support from fresh-meat indie-pop threesome Tuff Love, and a rarest of rare appearances from those Our Ladies of Sorrow.
Later in the evening, from 10pm-3am, across two different rooms at the top of The Mash House, there'll be a gory smorgasbord of late-night live performances from Insect Heroes, CARBS, River Of Slime and Operator plus DJ sets from Lost Map, Papi Falso and Irregular Owl Movements. Tickets cost £12 each, or just £5 for the late-night club. A four-ticket Freaky Family Pass costs just £40. The theme for the evening is Sinister Siblings & Freaky Families. Dress (in)appropriately.
