Hullo mums and non-mums,
Hope you're all doing well. I am fine. It's quite hot up here, on Eigg. We've had scorching weather for the past week. So I've been outside frolicking with the freshly-born lambs, playing frisbee with my top off. It's only now that i discover that the frisbee we've been using is the final remaining copy of Future Echoes on clear vinyl, rendering it useless for aural pleasure. Still makes a good frisbee, though.
If you didn't manage to grab a copy of this limited edition treat, you should quickly rake the racks of your local record shop ... as the only ones left in existence will be there. Norman in Leeds, Resident in Brighton, Assai in Dundee & Edinburgh, and Love Music in Glasgow appear to be the only shops that have it? Quick, run! Record Store Day is EVERY DAY!
Still got some CDs, of course ... and some old cassette tapes of Phil Collins. I'll be taking them with me on the road this month, as i'm supporting the legendary British Sea Power on their European Tour. We'll be doing these dates as a two-piece ... by which i mean i'll be joined on stage by my pal Suse Bear (from Tuff Love) ... I don't mean i'll be wearing a bikini. ALTHOUGH I MIGHT, if the weather is as good as it currently is on Eigg.

I'm doing a "rare" solo show in London on Sunday 28th May, as part of an all-dayer at London Fields Brewhouse called This Corner Of England, hosted by Fire Records, and headlined by The Bevis Frond, and friends. Should be fun / drunken. Tickets and more info are here: http://www.wegottickets.com/event/392341
Then i'm playing a few shows with my full band ... our Lost Map pals Manuela will be supporting in Reading, and they're also doing Field Day, too!

SAT 3 JUNE FIELD DAY FESTIVAL, LONDON, UK [TICKETS]
There's plenty of other shows this summer, but you can see my full listings over at www.pictishtrail.co.uk/gigz Mind you, if you're the sort of person that can't be bothered leaving the house except to play the occasional game of solo-frisbee with some frankly bemused lambs, then you MIIIIGHT be interested in watching this live video footage, of the full Pictish band performing on BBC Scotland's The Quay Sessions. I've posted up a clip, below ... and you can watch the rest of the set over on the BBC website, here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p050q04g/the-quay-sessions-pictish-trail (It only works in the UK though, i'm told!).
Right, that'll do for now. Ta ta,
Pictish Trail xx
