LAST CHANCE FOR FEBRUARY POSTMAP CLUB RELEASES – SIGN UP TODAY!
OR LIVE FOREVER WITH YOUR REGRET:
lostmap.com/postcards/club
Regret can be a hell of a burden – lying awake in the wee small hours, sheets tangled and soaked in sweat, quarreling with deep questions such as "should I have stopped touching it once it started to turn all red and angry looking?" and/or "why did I eat that entire multi-pack of Golden Wonder before bed?" We can take at least one small weight off of your poor mind before you undress, butter up a crisp sandwich and tuck yourself in tonight on this lonely last night of February, by strongly advising that you sign up right now this very minute for our PostMap Club – meaning you won't miss out on our February releases, which are a right pair o' golden wonders if we do say so ourselves (and we do say so, we say it all the time in fact).
Yes that's right. For just a small and really very reasonable sum of your hard earned money every month, or for a slightly larger but still also quite reasonable sum of money – we'll explain all this in a minute – you can be immediately snail-mailed two unique postcards containing download links for brand new musics by Callum Easter (more on him below) and Lost Map newbie Romeo Taylor (more on him below too). You'll also get the following additional benefits every month for the rest of time, or until you/we die. We'll all die one day, but try not to worry about it!
REGULAR BREW
(£3 + postage, per month)
- Postcards (obvs)! At least two collectible PostMap postcards sent to your door at the end of every month – each containing download codes for a mixture of brand new music on Lost Map, alongside a random selection from our archives
- Badge! Plus a new badge for every year of your subscription
- Monthly newsletter! Containing hot goss / farmyard shite
- Discounts! On other Lost Map releases, merchandise and gigs
- Feelgood glow! Help support a plucky young independent record label go about its merry business
GOLD BLEND
(£5 + postage, per month)
- All of the above except with a bigger badge
- Supposing a Regular Brew member and a Gold Blend member were sat around a nightclub table in Shanghai, China in 1935, and each had been slipped poison by crime boss Lao Che, and there was some antidote on the table but then a fight broke out, and the antidote was scattered over the floor among loads of ice then picked up by beautiful but annoying nightclub singer called Willie Scott, and then after escaping in a car driven by an 11-year-old Chinese boy (this bit's weird) she could give the antidote to only one person – she would totally give it to the Gold Blend member
- Nothing else. Literally nothing

GUYS, MEET ROMEO TAYLOR
How to explain a man, a myth, a legend like Lost Map's newest signing Taylor Stewart AKA Romeo Taylor? Let's start with the basics. So, he's a man – we're fairly sure he is anyway, making a mental note now to double check at the urinals – and also a myth/legend of the Glasgow DIY music scene, which he's been involved with for ages playing drums in his own uniquely energetic/lagered style for bands including Rapid Tan, Herbert Powell and Lost Map's own Savage Mansion. We are excited to work with Taylor for basically two reasons: 1) He is a very funny man (see his surreal tweets @COOLJINZO for a hilarious/intimate/occasionally disturbing window into the life and mind of a true original), and more importantly 2) His solo material as Romeo Taylor completely bangs and we love it.
Case in point – the two tracks featured on his above-mentioned debut PostMap postcard single. ‘Go Without’ is an OMD-esque addictive electro-pop journey, a tale of unrequited love and heart-broken determination. You can watch and share a video for it now, splicing a dazzling fun-fair ride through the early-morning streets of Glasgow together with footage from childhood home videos. ‘Golden Lover’, meanwhile, is an early 90s retro electro-funk party monster, all squelching synth bass and slapping drums. Think Har Mar Superstar gone to Madchester, gone truly mad.
Let Taylor into your life. Let love into your life

LOOK CALLUM EASTER'S ALBUM IS REALLY VERY GOOD AND JUST BE PREPARED FOR IT, OKAY?
I MEAN WE WOULD SAY THAT, BUT SERIOUSLY HAVE A LISTEN TO 'FALL IN LOVE' AND TELLS US IT'S NOT REALLY VERY GOOD?
SPOTIFY / APPLE MUSIC
We love all of our children equally here at Lost Map, even the ones who leave us (bastards), but that doesn't mean we don't get extra-specially proud whenever one of our young brood produces something particularly impressive, like a lovely hand-painting or Play-Doh sculpture, or a massive shit during toilet-training. Are we still talking about record label artists or actual children? Who can even say? Anyway, about Edinburgh-based singer of otherworldly rhythm and blues Callum Easter's new album Here Or Nowhere – it's due for release on April 5, and it really is very good. It's a game-changer. Get ready.
Just have a listen to the headrush of queasy electro-wonk all about the possibilities of love and wondering where it all went wrong, his new above-mentioned single ‘Fall In Love’, and try not to... well... y'know... (narrator's voice: "don't say it")... FALL IN LOVE!!!!! (narrator's voice again, witheringly: "he said it"). It's okay we'll wait while you have a listen, take your time... [*time passes*]... See? You see! It's good right? And there's so much more where that came from. We'll be announcing a pre-order for Here Or Nowhere soon, as well as details of a launch show. In the meantime here are some of Callum's growing litany of spring/summer gig and festival commitments. Have you seen his live show yet? Don't even get us started on his live show! We love him like our own son.

TWO OTHER VERY EXCELLENT NEW ALBUMS OUT NOW:
SAVAGE MANSION AND ALABASTER DEPLUME
Albums – it's what we're all about really. We go on about a lot of other stuff like gigs and postcards and hats and bodily functions, but Lost Map albums are where it's at, man. They're our reason to be, or our raison d'etre if we're feeling that bit more pretentious (and we are). They're what make us jump out of bed with a dramatic flourish every morning, throw the curtains open wide and shout "THANK YOU DEAR WORLD", as an elderly neighbour recoils in disgust upon spotting us, standing there in a power stance in nothing but ill-fitting and visibly stained jockies.
Cases in point – two recent doozies by Alabster dePlume and Savage Mansion, both of which are on-sale now. If you are unfamiliar with either/both album, here are brief recaps, which you'll enjoy most if you imagine them spoken in the voice of an over-enthusiastic American sports commentator.
ALABSTER DEPLUME – THE CORNER OF A SPHERE
(LP: £15, X2 CD: £10, LP + CD: £20): https://bit.ly/2M2vIdB
"Gus d'Basterplume hits the SWEET spot with this collection of pumped thought-jams serving up a power treat for your brain and heart zones. Flip it for a second half slam-touchdown of brand new bonus cuts from the live locker, hot, emotional and ready to HURT!"
SAVAGE MANSION – REVISION BALLADS
(LP: £14, LP + CASSETTE: £17): https://bit.ly/2FhmY2I
"Lost Map's best and only man-band are the dream team to make you scream to the seams with these creamy themes. Think the Parquet Floors going into OVERTIME against Sidewalk and still hittin' hard. Serve 'em over ice with friends and let the good times roll. SCORE!"
