We're proud of a great many achievements here at Lost Map in soon seven years of trading, be it remaining solvent in spite of some shoddy accounting or that time we won almost £40 by throwing a shoe full of cold beans over an unusually tall chain link fence for a bet. But even these momentous undertakings pale in comparison to probably our greatest ever achievement, which is setting up the PostMap Club – a subscription service which for the last year-and-a-bit has seen us send at least two and sometimes more pieces of new, exclusive and suffice-it-to-say bloody great music to a steadily growing number of largely faithful and almost never complaining members, together with bonus paraphernalia like cool artwork, a newsletter and badges. NGL probably wouldn't be solvent without it.
Even if we do mention it every single Waypoints without fail as we shall until the bailiffs come a knockin', it strikes us that we probably don't do enough to shout about the PostMap Club, of which we are v proud (see above). Being that May's dispatch is a second successive PostMap Quadruple Banger™ featuring musics by Martha Ffion, Savage Mansion, Happy Spendy and Undermedvetenheten, we've decided that now is the time TO DO MORE SHOUTING about it. So listen here: if you sign up to the PostMap Club before the end of May – which is this Sunday – not only will you get all of the May postcards, but you'll also get all four of April's postcards (by Pictish Trail, Good Dog and x2 by Fell), as well as your newsletter and badge. That's eleventy-hundred postcards, all for as little as £3, or if you're feeling flush, £5. Incredible, right? More detail on our two membership tiers as follows.

TIME TO GET HAPPY (SPENDY)
Speaking as someone who smells repelently of garlic and body odour at a radius of 2-3m even on a bath day, this whole "social distancing" business hasn't actually changed our life all that much and in fact we've been feeling quite upbeat the last few weeks, staying in the house, watching classic episodes of Pat Sharp's Fun House, breaking cover only for a run to Farmfoods to stock up on more delicious Chicken Kievs. But for others who may be struggling with the sadness of this Unprecedented Age™, rest assured that yer old pals Lost Map have got something in store to cheer you right up.
A pocket of succulent delection oozing dreamy goodness like it were hot butter sauce (sorry, can't stop thinking about Chicken Kievs), You're Doing Okay is the hits-stuffed debut compilation album by Kleenex-slaying synth-pop dreamboats Happy Spendy. Set for release on 12” vinyl and via digital services on June 5, 2020, it gathers together all three of the Glasgow band's EPs released between 2017-2020 in one place for the first time, a collection of songs marking milestones in grief and falling in love for singer and songwriter Eimear Coyle.
If you'd like a taste of delicious Chicken Kiev this fine album in advance then you can watch a brand new video for the song 'Candy', and also less new videos for 'Feelings 2' and 'Fresh Air', right now. If you join the PostMap Club (see above) you'll promptly receive a postcard single featuring the tracks 'Candy' and 'Babies', together with an exclusive a cover version of Happy Spendy's song 'Flex' sung by Lost Map's answer to Geoff Capes Pictish Trail – watch a teaser trailer here (warning: contains muscles).

Not literally a dog – although tbh we're not above releasing music by dogs, send us your demos if you have them please dogs – Good Dog is in fact the solo alias of songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist extraordinaire Suse Bear, who you may recognise as a member of the Pictish Trail, The Pastels, Traceyanne & Danny and Malcolm Middleton's live bands among others. We are v excited to have released Suse's debut album Creature on ultra limited-edition CDR, and let us tell you that if you desire to own a physical copy of this fine album then you'd best buy one right now because it's nearly about sold out. Woof!
Creature's 15 tracks of gauzy, summery goodtime sad songs represent, explains Suse, “kind of a diary of my 20s”. Should you wish to watch Suse in the comfort and mild disarray of her own bedroom playing an extremely lovely stripped back version of the album's lead single 'Floating', AKA the Best Song of 2020 ™, then we've got you covered there boss, don't sweat it. Should you wish to watch a nice gentle animated video for the song 'Bumblebee', then we've got you covered there, too. We've got it all covered, basically. Video of a dog playing piano? Covered.
