Slow Club, Seamus Fogarty, The Pictish Trail, Tuff Love, Randolph's Leap, Kid Canaveral, Rozi Plain and Supermoon: let's get that bit out of the way first, which is to say the full line-up for Lost Map's Howlin' Fringe! at Penicuik Town Hall on Saturday, August 8. Save for the pending additions of a few funny people ("comedians") TBA, anyway, assuming we can coax one or two of them away from the orgy of queuing and wasted paper that is the "Edinburgh Fringe". Our last remaining tickets are on sale at £18, so get buying now if you don't want to miss out.
If you've been following us on popular "social media channels" such as Instaface, Twitgram and Facehole this last couple of weeks you'll have been observing a couple of things: 1) us staggering said staggering Howlin' Fringe! announcements, and 2) us linking to pieces of unique "content" for each artist in the CLUMPS section (remember CLUMPS?) of Lostmap.com. Behold, the Randolph’s Leap vs Kid Canaveral Big Quiz™, Rozi's Road Songs (w/ bonus service station tips), Pictish Trail's audio blog, Tuff Love's Festival Do's and Don'ts, a video message from Slow Club, Neil 'Supermoon' Pennycook's comic book guide to Penicuik and a lovely chat with Seamus Fogarty. Not only that ... but there's a page with information on the blimmin' amazin' catering that we'll have on-site ... have a look, and prepare to salivate: http://lostmap.com/clumps-howlin-food
Think of it all as a kind of exciting Lost Map/Howlin' Fringe! themed magazine, except not the kind of magazine with which you can, say, swot an insect, wipe your bum or beat a guy shitless then blow up his house. Much as our CLUMPS may make you wish to do all of the above.
Don't forget: we still want your rubbish haircuts. In the build up to the event, we'd like you to share photographs of some of your most howlin' hairdos. The best (worst) cuts we receive will be magically transformed by our design guru David Galletly into cartoons/GIFs, for usage on posters and promotional materials for the Howlin' Fringe! (of which winners will receive complimentary copies, along with some bonus Lost Map goodies). To see your bowfin' barnet featured on our promotional materials send your images to: waypoints@lostmap.com
