Here at Lost Map people are always complimenting us on our tight little packages, and we haven't really known what they've meant by that until now that we've put together Resort, the debut compilation album by Tuff Love, which is surely the definition of a tight little package. AKA 11 REASONS TO GO TO PENICUIK THIS WEEKEND

Howlin' Fringe is kicking off tomorrow, Saturday 8th August ... and we've got 11 reasons as to why you should visit Penicuik!

Slow Club, Seamus Fogarty, The Pictish Trail, Tuff Love, Randolph's Leap, Kid Canaveral, Rozi Plain and Supermoon: let's get that bit out of the way first, which is to say the full line-up for Lost Map's Howlin' Fringe! at Penicuik Town Hall on Saturday, August 8.  Save for the pending additions of a few funny people ("comedians") TBA, anyway, assuming we can coax one or two of them away from the orgy of queuing and wasted paper that is the "Edinburgh Fringe". Our last remaining tickets are on sale at £18, so get buying now if you don't want to miss out.

Oh you greedy sods you. Since they went onsale two weeks back you've been snapping up tickets to our Howlin' Fringe! mini-festival at Penicuik Town Hall on Sat Aug 8 faster than we could say "wait, we've accidentally set the postage rate too low!", Early-Birds have long since flown out the door. We've just started a new competition ... in the build up to the event, we'd like you to share photographs of some of your most howlin' hairdos - from the explosive bangs your sadistic mother styled for you for a school photograph as a gap-toothed sprog, to that ill-advised severe combover you sported when you were going through your teeny emo phase. Haircut catastrophes, dodgy doos, follical misfires, barber-based balls-ups - we'll take 'em all! ...

Having just come off tour with Ride, and playing to a packed out tent at Field Day, Tuff Love are currently locked away in Suse's flat, putting the finishing touches to some new recordings.  DO NOT DISTURB.  We're not allowed to tell you any more about the sounds emanating from that room ...

BUT ... we can tell you that the band have just announced a string of dates in November.  They're playing Sheffield (9th), Leiceister (10th), Brighton (11th), London (12th), Hebden Bridge (13th), Manchester (14th) and York (15th) ... with more dates to be announced later.

But before all that, the Tuffs have got a jam-packed summer of festivals ...
